BARRY, Captain RoyAugust 13, 1924 - February 5, 2010 It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of our beloved father. Roy was born in Vancouver, BC. He came from a long line of Master Mariners and began a life at sea at the young age of 16, transporting troops to various destinations around the world. In 1971, Roy joined the Fraser River Pilots and spent the remainder of his career as a Marine Pilot, retiring in 1986. As a father, grandfather and friend, Roy is remembered for his support, patience, sense of humor, and unconditional love.
