Posted by Del: 06/05/06  Build it and they will come!

Boat traffic was real heavy at this intersection so they put in an overpass!!  This is a channel-bridge over the River Elbe and joins the former East and West Germany, as part of the unification project. It is located in the city of Magdeburg, near Berlin . The photo as taken on the day of inauguration. Six years, 500 million euros, 918 meters long.  Regards.

Time for another photo gallery.  Ex: Haro, now Annie Sue in Seattle, bites the dust.  Also here are five shots to post for the Mary Mackin.  The link to the fire seems to have disappeared.  Don.

Another piece of B.C. marine history appears to be coming to an end. The ROVER No.1, originally the HOPKINS, built in 1910, has seen better days. I took the pictures on the ways, July 31/05, at the Nanaimo Shipyard. Don
